Lentisco essential oil has astringent and decongestant properties for the venous and lymphatic system, against varicose veins and hemorrhoids. This evergreen shrub located on the Mediterranean coast has clusters of pale green flowers that bear red-black fruits. Its bark has resinous incisions.
The resin is chewed to freshen breath. During the hot days of August, it fills the atmosphere with its characteristic perfume.
